A mausoleum is a large building that provides above ground entombment for human remains.  A mausoleum crypt space is one space for the placement of one casketed remains.

When you purchase mausoleum crypt space entombment, you are purchasing "entombment rights," meaning the right to designate who may be entombed in the space.  Arrangements can be made for a single mausoleum crypt or a companion unit that is designed for two casketed remains.

Memorialization

Granite crypt fronts are designed for single or companion crypts.  An inscription on the crypt front includes the name of the deceased and birth and death dates.  You may also place a vase or personalized religious feature on the crypt front.

Entombment Fees

The entombment fee includes the following:  administration, permanent record keeping and documentation, opening and closing of the crypt space, entombment service, supplies and services.

Cost Factors

Your cost depends on several factors including:

  1. The location of the crypt space you chose;
  2. The type of crypt space you select;
  3. The kind of crypt memorialization you want;
  4. The time you make your purchase.

As time goes by, inflation pushes prices up.  But you can avoid higher costs in the future by making your selections now.
